Summer Classes Suck

Jun 29, 2010 15:54

They really do. For serious. Who ever thought it would be a good idea to force students to attend abridged classes during the summer was an idiot, because the students don't want to be there, the professors don't want to be there, and the classes are too short for anybody to actually learn anything. So... blah.

So anyway, school update: Summer A has offically ended and I got a B+ in History and Apperciation of Music. I'm relieved. It was an easy class, but about midway into it (like the genius I am) I realized that if I bomb the class, my GPA could go down and if my GPA goes down, my scholarship might be taken away. Yeah, at that moment I realized I might be taking the class too lightly.

Summer B has started and oh my gosh I hate myself for picking these classes. I'm taking Intro to Philosophy in the morning and British Lit from 1789 in the afternoon. Both classes have heavy reading lists (I hate reading! Can't someone just read the text to me?) and the Philosophy class is a WAC course, which means there will be a lot of writing. *guh* I can't wait until this summer is over. I want to get back to the normal class schedules of the fall and spring.

At least my total credits are now at a 93/120. So close!

school, rant
