Earlier today I posted "Day Seven" of this and, doh!, I totally forgot to do Day 6. So I'm going a little out of order and knocking out two in one day (since I skipped yesterday).

I'm going to go with something that even before I moved to the Portland area always made me think of the Portland area.

My (nearby) city of Portland has been getting some newfound attention recently with some (deserved) hype over the comedy series Portlandia, which premiered on IFC last week. It's also up on Hulu and the premiere episode really is hilarious and definitely worth checking out ( Read more... )

I'm off from work today for a variety of reasons, the highest being that I need to be with my wife later this evening for her company's holiday dinner party and it seemed a hell of a lot easier to take the whole day off then to scramble from work in Portland at 4:30PM and try be to Albany, Oregon (about 90 minutes south) by 6PM.
