All 7 And We'll Watch Them Fall, Part One
A new LJ friend through_it is doing a very cool meme I have not encountered or done before so it seems very ripe for stealing/doing too.
The theme to it is pretty obvious: A play on the 7 Deadly Sins.
The breakdown of it goes like this:
Day 1 - Pride. Seven great things about yourself.
Day 2 - Envy. Seven things you lack and covet.
Day 3 - Wrath. Seven things that piss you off.
Day 4 - Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.
Day 5 - Greed. Seven worldly material desires.
Day 6 - Gluttony. Seven guilty pleasures.
Day 7 - Lust. Seven love secrets.
And so today is Day One and it might be the toughest one on the list. Seven great things about myself? Seriously?!
I shall try.
1. Thing One = I have a good sense of humor and my ability to think pretty quick usually results in me being able to find the comedy within almost anything but not to search for it when it's not there.
2. Thing Two = I can make a mix CD (or tape, for you old school friends) for almost anyone, no matter what their taste and have it usually become something they really enjoy.
3. Thing Three = I am generous with my time because usually I can't be as generous as I'd like with my money. If you need me to help with something I am usually right there. If there is a cause I believe in I try to volunteer for it. If you need to talk I'll hang with you for as long as it takes to "get it out".
4. Thing Four = I am not afraid to cry.
5. Thing Five = I'm not afraid to say exactly how I feel. I was born with very little disconnect between my heart and my voice. I don't think many people who know me best have ever had to wait for too long or get an "I don't know" when they've asked how I feel.
6. Thing Six = I'll have coffee with you any time of day. Not sure how this makes me "great" so much as it makes coffee awesome but, on a deeper level, I like conversation and human connections so think of coffee as a metaphor or something. :)
7. Thing Seven = I don't love anyone half way.
So those were a bit random and scattered but, wow, it is hard to truly think about, rank, or write about my so-called "great" qualities.
This will be a fun 7-part meme and I hope some other LJ friends will hijack it too. Sometimes these short, simple things provide some good angles on people.
