I'm curious about something:
When you receive an email invitation to a private social event, roughly what percentage of them say or imply that you're welcome to bring your choice of (at least one) friend/so/whatever?
What percentage ask that you get prior approval from the hosts before bringing someone else with you?
and what percentage either state or imply that you should not bring anyone who wasn't already invited?
