Christmas fun
I so win the family disfunction drinking game this holiday. It was so bad I actually had my dad buy a bottle of Bailey's (the only alcohol I can drink). I'm still waiting for the promised drink that I needed Christmas night. Rudy and Ada (aunt and uncle) were is rare form insulting everyone while they ate food that we bought and cooked. To explain how horrible the dinners are we fight over who get's to do the dishes. I wolf down my food so that I am able to get up and do them. My father was reminded of how little his mother is able to love anyone but Rudy. (My family and the phrase fucked up go together.) On the 23rd, Rudy insulted my mother and my being in graduate school. I passed my courses with 2 As, 1 B, and a pass for the internship class. He was a failed stock broker and taught middle school. He will only call food by their Italian name and refuses to admit the noodle came from China. I'm quoting here, "There is doubt about that." He did have to write out two checks for my family for a total of $225. He gave my three younger siblings two boxes of candy canes, and three boxes of animal crackers. He told my father in front of everyone that he wrote a check for $200 a hundred for him and my stepmom and a hundred for the kids. I was shocked to receive a check for $25 just for me. Last year I received a $1.50 tee-shirt. I was however not named on the family Christmas card and my name was misspelled.
I'm done talking about my relatives. I was further spoiled with my gifts. My dad and stepmom bought me clothes that I needed, money, DVDs, and CDs. I got myself some books, Bride and Prejudice, and this years calendar.
