Conterpoint
Conterpoint 2007, this year's floating East Coast filk con, returns to metro Washington, DC. It will happen at the Woodfin Suites Hotel just off I-270 in Rockville on June 22-24. Our guests are:
GOH: Wild Mercy -- They describe themselves as "neo-Celtic-powered post-industrial electro-acoustic folk-rock with jazz influences and freeform choral structure." We describe them as awesome.
TM: John Hall, DI -- a longtime SMOF with a wide repertoire of vintage folk and filk.
Interfilk: Seanan McGuire -- a rich, powerful voice delivering songs that range from incredibly complex and sophisticated to incredibly, inventively silly, all in one blonde. What's not to like?
Special Added Attraction: Steve Brinich and Crystal Paul's wedding!
Memberships are $55 for the entire weekend. Day memberships are $20 for Friday, $30 for Friday, and $10 for Sunday.
