So i log in to livejournal (actually log in as opposed to go to my friends page and look at the random postings of my friend's lives...) and I see that it has been exactly 20 weeks since I last posted. That means I last posted when my son was about 2.5 months old... :/ you see my dilemma. So, the update

perhaps I'm not the best person to be saying this, but lately I've turned into my own version of Dr. Phil. This does not bode well with me as morons will think me synonomous with that ass jockey who is at Oprah's beck and call.

Your current situation sounds like my last relationship, minus the child and living with mum and dad. You're miserable which makes you act like a bitch, and he is miserable which makes him act like an asshole. Think about it like this, if you had a child with someone and you were living in their parents house and didn't make much of an income how would you feel? Once you get into that downward spiral of misery, you get so depressed that you don't want to do anything with your life. I suspect that is how this dude feels. He probably feels rather inadequate to boot.

I don't know the whole story here, so I won't spout off orders. Obviously the guy is miserable, which is making you miserable. I'd suggest sitting down with the guy and talking about it. Find out what is making him miserable and help him find a solution. The only other alternative is to give him the old boot and hope he gets his act together.
