YES WE DID.
This is our time.
I can thank my most recent employer for firing me and giving me the chance of a lifetime to volunteer for this campaign for the last two weeks. I've put a lot of time and energy into it, and it was more than worth it.
Thank you everyone for getting out to vote, making phone calls, sending text messages, and getting people involved.
I got to meet the first female US senator from NH twice, and I stood back to let someone else have a turn. Shawna wouldn't let that happen. She knew I wanted my picture taken and shoved me to the front of the crowd to make it happen.
Carol Shea-Porter and Paul Hodes will be sure to keep Congress in line.
And equally if not most excitingly - WE DID IT! We were FIRED UP! We were READY TO GO! And YES WE DID!!! I was so exhausted last night that I went to bed before all the numbers were counted. I turned my phone volume and vibrate off - because I wanted to sleep as long as I needed to. And I saw it light up from Shawna calling me to tell me we won. I got up and watched McCain concede and set a recording for everything else. YES WE DID.
