Summary: Lilah and Lindsey are just pawns.
The difference between Lilah Morgan and Lindsey MacDonald was that she had realized from the start that they were nothing more than pawns in the approaching apocalypse. Lindsey seemed to think that the power that they both had meant that they were also in possession of their fates. Yet she recognized the power for what it was: a mere trickle of the power that the Senior Partners held. And she knew that despite the power that they had been granted, in the end they would both be sacrificed to ensure that the Senior Partners achieved the results that they wanted from the fast approaching end of days.
Despite this knowledge, Lilah refused to leave Wolfram and Hart. It wasn’t as if she really could just leave the company, but she knew that even if she had the choice to leave she would still stay. She found that the small amount of power that she did possess to be more than seductive than anything else in her entire life. So despite knowing that she was nothing more than a pawn in an elaborate and cosmic game of chess, Lilah still toed the company line to remain in possession in that small trickle of power that the Senior Partners had generously granted to her and Lindsey.
