The weekend is almsot over already! Yikes! I didn't get much done!
Friday night I went to the
Whitney Museum in NYC with my mom and two of her friends. The four of us are a little 'museum group' and we have been to three different museums together thus far. I like it. It gets us out and about in the city and to see all these different exhibits that I always want to go see but never have initiative...even though I'm in NYC practically every day! So it's a lot of fun. Some exhibits on display now were a lot better than others, but it was stil interesting and fun! We're going to the Met next.
My sister also held a party Friday night that we missed because of the museum, so after we came home, we stopped by. Dave joined us, and we ate some of the leftover food since everyone had already left.
Saturday I started knitting the pair of
"Fetching Fingerless gloves" that Mandi brought to my attention. Jess canceled our craft day date since she is sick, and I hope we can re-schedule too!
My mom and I then dismantled the Christmas tree and since we did it together, it didn't take all that long. I'm glad it's out cause Tuffy used it as indoor plumbing and I spent a majority of my time cleaning up dog piss. Ugh. We had plastic bags around the base of the tree so we didn't hurt the hardwood floors and it was just horrible. Tuffy is special.
I finished "Love From Hell" in the Agatha Raisin series. It's like book #6. (Edit: I underestimate how much I read. It's book #11 in the series. I didn't realize that I have read that many! I'm moving on to book #12, I think. At least, I brought it upstairs and plan to read it soon...) I
book-mooched a few others on my to-read wishlist, so I might move onto those for a bit...maybe not? (Including HP 2 and 3!)
Yesterday evening, aunt betty, and my family went over to Alyson's to eat more leftovers from her party. Yummy.
Then I went to Dave's, and we had planned on seeing "Sweeney Todd" but the times for it at all the nearby theaters were odd. We missed the 7:00 ones (or wouldn't make them on time) and the next was 10:30. Too late for me. haha. Instead we went to the mall to look for a duvet cover for him and to use some gift certificates. We didn't do either. We then went to Linens and Things and found a much better selection, and he picked out one that he really liked.
Back at home, we watched "Braveheart" where I had to turn my head for most of it, and we never finished it. I'll do the other half some other time.
Today I plan on knitting more. I'd like to finish at least one of the two gloves. I also have some scanning to do for a client, a layout to do for another client, a fashion figure drawing due for my class on the 8th, and food shopping.
Fun and busy day, hopefully!!
