Ouch. I got it, but I also live in an area with a high Latino/Hispanic population. Beyond that, we also have sevearl large Asian neighborhoods, and NYC is across the river. Besides there's so much Spanish in American English it makes sense it would be a default secondary language for a lot of people, regardless of their heretages.
