Road Trip Day Two
Day two... We're so tired of riding in the car.... We started at 9am, todays drive was from Springfield, MO to Amarillo, TX. Caitlyn took the first four hours. Unfortunately it seems to like to rain when she's driving. As the least experienced driver this makes it not so fun for everyone involved. Even better was the point where it was raining hard enough that all we could see was the vague outline of the semi's in front of us on the steep hills and everything else was lost to the rain. This left us with a less than sane Caitlyn by the end...
Sharah took the next three hour section of road. It was a nice quiet even after yesterday and we were all well and truly silly. We had several fun stops one involving walmart, rice candy, and pocky. The two others involved searching for a place to potty (This proved to be a difficult thing to find during sharah's last hour as driver)... Caitlyn, the dog, and I all had to pee.... a lot....
I finally took my turn driving for the last hour and a half. It was a nice easy drive, though the sun was way too quick to move into my eyes. All in all we were very silly and over energetic by the end of the 8 1/2 hours spent on the road. Though we are all exhausted tonight and have another 7+ scheduled for tomorrow. The good thing is that I got part of chapter six of Gods of War finished and hopefully will be able to post it at the next hotel. For now, we're all tired and ready to sleep.
