soooo....
it has been a while since i've updated- guess i just haven't felt the motivation to do so these last couple of weeks. so, here is a run down of goings-on in my side of the world!
i FINALLY have an official start date for my promotion at work- june 1st! i got my offer last week and i accepted, of course. ugh, such a long time coming, since i found out about the promotion in feburary, but i still feel lucky to have gotten it. i am going to be the lead on a team with an AWESOME supervisor, so i can't wait. when i go into work on tuesday, i will have a new desk by a WINDOW. WOO HOO!!! ah, the cubicle life, when you get excited about sitting by a window...haha...so, i will be a lead for a week then i have 6 days off for BONNAROOOOOOO!!!
ahhh yes, BONNAROO!!! i can't stop talking about it....matt with be joining sarah, myself, and her sister along with my coworker barry and his friend, mike. it is going to be an all out party and it's going to be AMAZING. DUH. barry and i IM each other all day, just going on and on and about how excited we are....i can't wait for the line up to be announced!
a couple weekends ago i had the MOST theraputic weekend in a while with some of my besties in columbus...i was in dire need of girl time and it was just what i needed: hilarious drunk dials, not raping people or dropping acid, and taking one of the most creepy pictures EVER. i still have to upload my pix to see if they all saved correctly onto my memory card!
and i must complain about american idol- i felt like such a LOSER, nearly shedding a tear at adam losing to kris. i'm sorry, but seriously america? do we REALLY need another mediocre singer/guitarist that sounds like a jason mraz knock-off dominating the airwaves? when we could have had an exciting, unique, PHENOMINAL singer? oh well, i guess that proves most people have SUCKY taste when it comes to music. but COME ON- when they sang 'we are the champions' there was like, NO comparison. ok, i'm done. i'll probably talk about adam again at some point because he is my new obsesssion. i DLed his AI songs on itunes and have been listening to them non-stop. :)
greg and i bought season passes to kings island- it was only $89 apiece and that includes free parking year round. so exciting! when we got passes a couple years ago, it was great because we like to go just for a few hours at a time. totally worth it. plus, tomorrow we get to see collective soul for free at the park! woo hoo!! ~uncommon ground 4e!~ hahahaha...
i am about to start the newest sookie stackhouse book- i love that series so very much. :) i also bought one of kim harrison's rachel morgan series books at borders with my 40% off coupon...the series seems promising, so i hope i enjoy it.
ok. i'm going to sit in my bum then mooch free food off of my husband at panera in an hour. sounds like a good saturday to meeeeee!
