(no subject)
Well my life has been extremely action-packed lately. and i don't think God has been on my side.
One good thing: I MADE 4TH CHAIR IN AREA CHOIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!! THAT MEANS I GET TO AUDITION FOR STATE IN JANUARY!!!!! Unfortunately, me and Courtney are the only ones from our school that made area. I'm sad for Amy. She got 1st alternate and she deserved to make it. as for me, i came out of the audition room crying cuz i thought i did so badly. i guess i was wrong.
after our district/region clinic and concert that night, i had a 9:20 flight to Houston. I left Martin High School at about 8 and we were making great timing. then, thanks to my wonderful luck, my grandma's tire blew out while we were on the highway. by the Grace of God, my friend Stephen, who was leaving the concert as well, called to tell me that it went really well. i told him i was stranded on the highway and needed to get to the airport prontola and there he was, driving up right behind me while i was still talking to him. he was surely a blessing from above.
i got on the plane, 5 minutes before take-off and everything was going well. we got up into the air and then...i saw the lightning. about 1 mile below our plane. from that moment on, i didn't stop crying till the plane was landed in Houston. call me a baby, but lightning that close to the plane is far far from comforting. once i was at the Houston/Hobby airport, i found my limo driver and he took me to the hotel. when i got there, he left, and all of the drama kids i soon found out, were gone. they had gone to see Hairspray at a local theatre so i ended up sitting in the hotel lobby for almost an hour while all these weird people walked by me and stared at me like some sort of homeless person.
the rest of the weekend went well. i got called back to OU which was the only school i really cared about. they were very im-personal and i felt like just another number who was wasting their time. oh well. i think i need to focus on my music for the time-being. i like music better anyways.
kelli's in town. i've been hanging out with him almost every day. it's weird. i've never been able to be friends with him and now that's all it is. and i really REALLY like it.
