Seussical!
Oh man! Our show opens today! I'm so nervous. The only calming thing I have is that Robby is coming Sunday AND Monday probably. I miss him. I think I still love him. Um..definately still completely head over heals in love.
And so for a brief summary of my week. (The worst week ever)
WEDNESDAY: in the morning my grandfather passed away. My parents called me that afternoon and left me a message saying that they were going to North Dakota for the funeral and wouldn't be back till Sunday which means they miss opening nite. That same day I wake up sick and could barely walk cuz i'm so dizzy. I definately have a cold or the flu or something. At rehearsal it is announced to the cast that our Mayor of Whoville has failed math and is no longer eligable to perform. THREE DAYS BEFORE WE OPEN! So Phil (the assistant director) is cast as the Mayor and now has like an hour to learn the whole Mayors part. To make matters worse, nobody even likes Phil and he knows that no one wants him there and I'm sure feels very akward being around all people who dont want him in the show. I miss Jordan (the real Mayor). I love that kid so much. The only good thing that happened on Wednesday was Bush won the election. I am now no longer scared for my life. Our troops are staying overseas and there will not be an attack on our country. But of course something bad has to happen with everything so I realize that I sit at lunch with a bunch of Democrats. They were all the emo drama kids and they cried during lunch cuz Bush won. It wasn't very pleasant. It made me very upset but I couldn't say anything or they would murder me.
THURSDAY: a little better, first rehearsals with Phil as the mayor. I'm still sick. Really sick.
FRIDAY: hectic. school till 2:30, all-state rehearsal 2:35-3:30, musical rehearsal 3:30-5:30, have to be at the school to get stuff ready for the football game with CREW at 5:45. I had time to go home and poop. No joke. Then I had to be at the field house at 6:00 to line up for senior recognitions since it was our sr. football game. Luckily, our sponsers didn't make me or Katie go to the game since we were both so burned out. (Katie is Mayzie LaBird in Seussical.) We went home and slept. Then some friends came over: Kyle, Theryn, Anthony, Amanda. We played pool for a while then i rode around with Theryn for a while and we bonded. We hadn't really got to know each other since she moved here and joined Drama Club. She's a really nice girl. I like her. And I really want Kyle's butt. True story. It makes for good viewing. Theryn took me back home and I slept from 12 midnight till noon the next day. Today.
So my week pretty much sucked. I'm still sick and taking as much medication as I can so I will be well for the performance tonite. Please come see me.
I miss everybody. I'm too busy for friends these days. Please call me and let me know that ya'll really do still exist. I'm sad that I don't have time to eat. Or sleep. And I have to struggle to find time to poop.
