Cheer or jeer it is entirely up to you. Some of the more mean spirited guests are thrilled by this sudden change of tactics something that is easily noticed by the lively cheers. While others may prefer to boo and seek out ways to help those trapped below. Some people are just party poopers…

This one isn't going to cheer. Genesis sat near the front, not worried about any close calls that the beast may make. He wanted to see how this fight would pan out now that it was the last of the tournament. His fox sat calmly next to him, nine tails swishing. The purple cat-like creature that Sephiroth had found sat on the fox's back. Somehow the two had bonded and given the size difference, the cat decided that the fox would also help protect it.

Genesis leaned back onto his elbows, a cheek resting on a fist. "This is going to be interesting."

Cecil and Rosa were near the front as well, but neither of them seemed to be of the same opinion that this was as interesting as it was horrifying. The paladin and white mage stood, Rosa's hands clapped over her mouth as she stared in wide-eyed shock at the great beast, Cecil beside her with his arms securely around her in case she tried to make a run for the floor. The white knight wasn't any more comfortable leaving Kain and the others to fend for themselves, but there was nothing they could do; others had tried to interfere and bound themselves blocked off from entering the battlefield to aid the champions.

When he heard the man not very far from them comment on the spectacle before them, Cecil was mildly aghast. "They could be killed! Is your entertainment for a day truly worth more than their lives?"

"Hm?" Genesis' bright eyes flickered down to the man in front of him and raised a brow. "Of course not. Sephiroth is an acquaintance of mine, I would rather not see him killed."

But that didn't mean watching the fight couldn't be entertaining. Sephiroth, was an extraordinary fighter and if the other two participates were skilled enough to have made it that far, then how could he worry about them too much? If blood was to be shed, then perhaps they shouldn't have participated at all.

"If that's true, how can you sit by idly?" Cecil understood trusting a friend to be skilled in battle, but not even wanting to help was plainly cold and cruel in his eyes. True, he didn't know this red-headed man, but by his mannerism as he calmly watched gave Cecil no indication that he felt otherwise. Battling one another in a healthy competition of abilities was a different matter from having a large, dangerous monster like the chimera be unleashed on the unwitting fighters for pure sport. It was sickening.

"How can you?" Genesis countered, tilting his head. "It sounds to me as though you would also rather not see these fighters killed for sport should they lose as well."

He shifted his weight on the seat so that he was resting his arms on his knees, leaning forward as though to get a closer look. It was rather amusing how this person seemed so against this tournament and yet here he sat, watching it as it was meant to be watched.

"Besides," He continued. "He will not lose. Why rush in foolishly when there is no need?"

"I'm not," the paladin corrected the other man's presumption, a tint of annoyance in his voice. He didn't like the redhead's insinuation that he was being hypocritical - particularly since it was wrong. "I was asking you for help." Cecil nearly scoffed and turned his attention back to Rosa. The white mage was no less distressed and Cecil knew she wanted to help; he did too, but he had to agree that a plan to 'rush in foolishly' was no plan at all. He let go of her and instead hopped over the bench in front of them. Maybe they could help if they found the ringleader of this farce of a warrior's tournament. He briefly glanced back at the other man as he helped Rosa climb over the bleachers, hearing Hades order the chimera to target that Sephiroth man, wondering if not even that would move the stranger into action. He wasn't going to hold his breath.

These two clearly need to become friends somehow. XD wickedcultured July 23 2011, 15:36:04 UTC
"Accusing me of not wanting to lift a finger is hardly the way to ask for help," Genesis chuckled, still sitting back and watching the man help his companion over the bleachers to go find Hades.

Of course, when the God of the Underworld ordered the chimera to target only two of the fighters, namely Sephiroth and Zell, instead of the rest, he had to look a little surprised. It certainly wasn't what he was expecting but still, he didn't move. It wasn't long after that Sephiroth finally disabled the snake-part of the tail. Magic seemed to be of no use at this point, he would just be an added swordsman in the fight.

Genesis sat back and watched the fight still.

Though the last round of the tournament was fantastic, it hadn't prepared Daenerys for the final test of the champions. She had never seen monsters before she'd come to the Underdome and the massive, three-headed beast was beyond anything she could have expected. She knew what it was, of course, for they had stories of such creatures in her world, but as far as she had known, they were mere myth, legend, superstitions spread from pirates and sailors who had crossed the waters of the planet into strange, undiscovered lands.

The live chimera was something out of nightmares and neither Viserion nor Drogon seemed to appreciate the beast the way many of the more unsavory types within the crowd did. As the ruffians around her cheered and howled for the chimera, jostling the small young woman and her dragons, Dany furrowed her brows and tried to get to her feet so she could move from this most ill-chosen seat. She was afraid for Zell and Kain, naturally, but she would be of no help to them if she was trampled underfoot by this crowd.

At long last, Dany managed to stumble her way from the more raucous crowd, her dragons screaming in anger. Though she was relieved once they were a few paces from the worst of the spectators, as Viserion and Drogon were beginning to - quite literally - steam with fury, which no doubt meant that soon they'd be spitting fire, Daenerys wasn't so pleased to find that she had collided into a familiar face from Traverse Town. Placing her hands on the cold young man's ribs, she pushed herself back off of him in an effort to quickly ease any aggravation she had accidentally caused. "I am sorry," she said, soothing her dragons once she had regained her footing. "I was pushed."

"Are you always a man of few words?" Daenerys asked, wondering if it was merely that he disliked her still because of how she'd responded to him upon their initial meeting. "It would seem that that incident in Traverse Town proved I was telling the truth when I said I had not intended to reappear in the first district."

Dany was about to remark on the fact that the man had actually smiled, but she was distracted by the booming of a loud voice speaking. The host of the tournament was commanding the chimera to concentrate its attacks on a man with long, silver hair and a sword twice that length - as well as Zell. Suddenly, Dany felt dizzy, but she remained rooted in her position, even as there was a sudden swell in the uproar the crowd was making in the bleachers around them. She flicked her violet eyes around the battlefield down below and saw, to her horror, Zell clawed by the massive beast the champions were fighting. She watched the monster pin him and she gasped, but she did not look away. Despite her helplessness to save him, she prayed silently that someone might in her stead.
