Let me give you all a word of advice.

I lurve books on tape and CD. My favorite to date is, of course, White Oleander, as read by Taylor. However, I've also gotten Life of Pi, and Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes (which I highly recommend.

However.

I was at the library the other day, and had to hurry the hell up and choose one.

My first choice was the classic Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe.

My second?

Dave Barry is NOT Making This Up.

So guess which one I picked. Yep. And I am very sorry I did. Dave Barry should NEVER be recorded, let alone listened to. He did not read his own stuff- a guy with an obnoxious nasal voice did- and guys, it was painful. Seriously. When you read it, you imagine it delivered in the funniest way possible, and a good chunk of the humour comes from the dialogues, parentheses and footnotes, which are impossible to read without mutilating it. Sad.

Curse you, Hershey's.

Yesterday I had most of a Skor bar. Which is a total ripoff of a Heath bar. Which I couldn't find anywhere.

Mom had a craving for Corn Nuts, and made me go get her some. Corn Nuts? What the fuck? Is she pregnant with a fifth grader? Were her 7-11 levels getting low?

Anyways, I hadn't eaten and I felt a little craving, so I figured since I was going straight to tennis, it wouldn't kill me.

Little did I know that I have the toffeeholic gene. And since Taylor's job isn't to, you know, sit around making me toffee (no, Taylor, this isn't a hint or anything), I'm counting down the minutes until I break, skip class, and go get another one. Crap.

Also, why do these candy bars have rather manly, Viking-ish names? Go on, say "Skor". It's hard to do without mimicking the gravelly-voiced guy who announces the Motorcross / monster truck rallies. Sunday Sunday Sunday!!!

You've all seen this, right? (ATTENTION LIV DO NOT CLICK! DO! NOT! CLICK!)

So I've linked you, I expect the same. Comment and give me a funny or interesting link, something that will make me laugh or make me get that creepy-bugs-on-your-skin feeling or make me think or make me cry. THIS MEANS YOU.
