it really is gorgeous here
today i went on this excursion to the otago peninsula, arranged for international students, for free. cool. we took a bus & drove around to different spots. a gorgeous sandy beach. a cliff over the ocean with wind in our faces. a barbecue with actual vegetarian options. i was hoping to see penguins, but they were out feeding. i took tons of pictures and i'll try to post them soon, if i can figure out how. because i really cant explain how beautiful. i met some more international students too, nice. mostly american, but met a german boy into ska & punk. also talked to our redhead kiwi student leader. i even met a girl from usc, oh man. tomorrow there's preliminary lectures for courses, that should be interesting. then monday courses start. there are plenty more activities going on in the next few days, so hopefully i'll be experiencing more culture and stuff. later!
