Tau’ri Christianity has a tale about how Satan used to be one of God’s chosen. He was cast out of heaven and he created hell, and Teal’c thinks that maybe the Jaffa who are still The Chosen might see him that way. The dark angel fallen from great heights who created hell, and who now tries to tempt them away from their gods and into ruin.
Of course, he didn’t create hell. Earth is not hell. Earth is not heaven. Earth is not even freedom. Freedom is heaven, and it is in his heart and his mind, and it is in his soul now like a true spirit. He departed hell for heaven.
