Stargate movie and SG-1
I'm not sure if this has ever been mentioned or not...
I'm pretty amazed at the continuity between the movie and the tv show, but after watching the movie today I was irked by a major difference in my opinion. First, I don't know what the point of changing the spelling of Jack's name, but I guess O'Neil to O'Neill is a minor change. Secondly, a certificate in Jack's son's room is addressed to "Tyler O'Neil" but in the series, we've always known Jack's son to be Charlie. And lastly, the mountain. In the movie, the Stargate is housed in Creek Mountain in Colorado while in the TV series, it is in Cheyenne Mountain.
If anyone knows the reasons behind these changes, please let me know... its bothering me.
