I must be turning into Jack Shepherd.
Things I have teared up over today:
+ frustration/stress over bad time management -- I was shoveling mulch all weekend when I rerally needed to be working on projects/exam review.
+ re-reading the last chapter of The Things They Carried, which gets me every time, but damnit, I wasn't even reading properly, I was looking for quotes to use in my take-home test on the book!
+ Said take-home test, which is absurdly long and just a megaton of useless busy work, because apparently doing endless amounts of grunt work > actually discussing things at all. Cogburn, I hate you sometimes. You obviously don't know how to teach English in a meaningful way.
+ The fact that my dad leaves again in a day to go back to work in Ohio, and I miss having him around so much.
+ Seeing a soldier get greeted by his two little daughters at the airport when we went to pick up Mom and Grace. Those, at least, were worthy wibbles.
+ Lost-related things involving a discussion of the sucktastic-ness of my favorite character's life, the fact that he's now dead for no reason, and the sad sad song full of woeful cellos/violins that was playing in the background.
+ A Lion King song on my iPod, lolwhut?
