Aside from that, guys, I have news of awesomeness! I applied for this summer program at the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute called Space Science Lab, and found out yesterday that I got in! *raves around the room* Okay, okay, let me explain how and why this is so epic -- basically, I'm going to be working and living with a team of researchers and scientists (YES, REAL LIVE SCIENTISTS) along with ~15 other kids my age up at an observatory for a week over the summer. We'll be studying the moon, specifically lunar impacts, as part of a NASA program gathering data for extended astronaut stays on the surface. Yes, NASA. Whose scientists we'll get to meet and videoconference with, variously. Also, we get to do some astrophotography, which I've already discovered and fallen in love with courtesy of Tom Taylor, and best of all, WE GET TO BUILD OUR OWN TELESCOPES TO KEEP.
