Okay, this is getting agonizing. My two main TV fandoms are Doctor Who and Stargate. Unfortunately, both are not based in the United States, so I get the episodes several weeks later than the people in Britain and Canada, respectively. And of course by that time the internet is swarming with spoilers. It's taking every ounce of my willpower (especially with Stargate Atlantis) to not click on those little cut tags of images from new episodes or fics featuring the new plots. It's murder, especially since I've been going through a hardcore wave of Atlantis fan-madness, and the new season's two weeks away. *wails* So mostly I've been writing loads of fic to distract myself and to take to Kallie next week. Someone, reassure me with...things? I dunno? I just wanna watch my shoooooooows.
Speaking of which, new U2 songfic is gonna be up by tomorrow. Bet you'd thought I'd forgotten about those, hmm? Most of the stuff I've been writing lately has been fandom-based and also gratuitously bad and crazy, but there are a few things that are maybe worth posting.
It's storming here. I brought back a whole flock of thunderclouds from the beach as a souvenir -- yesterday on the drive back from Charleston we got caught in four seperate storm cells, and then another rolled in back at home last night. I'm glad. We need the rain.
This post is made of pointless. Hurrah, hurrah.
EDIT: A quick meme snagged from Kytri, who I spotted on Jess's flist: When you see this, post a Doctor Who quote in your journal.
"The thing is, time travel's a lot like visiting Paris. You've got to throw yourself in, eat the food, use the wrong verbs, get charged double and end up kissing complete strangers. Or is that just me?"
-- Nine (whom I will love always and forever.)
