[ Rousing to look around blearily, it really did seem kind of off, didn't it? There was that little panic attack going on, his breathing becoming quick and suddenly being that much more alert. ]

[Have a butler staring you down, Pierce. He sighs, world-weary, and rolls his eyes a little at the panic attack. Did he watch the whole thing? Probably. Was that creepy? Most likely.]

I can explain now, or we can change your clothes now, and then I can explain.

[He holds out a black sheet. This is talent staring Pierce in the face, pure talent.]

[ Another! This. This must be how foreigners felt when coming to for the first time. He looked over his own clothes before nodding quickly and standing up. ]

Yes! [ Another squeak. ] Thankyouthankyouthankyou!

[ He was still panicking, afraid of everything afterall. But he followed instructions well enough. ]

[He just unfurled that sheet, stepping up to Pierce and covering him from INNOCENT EYES. Not even five seconds later, and that's a fresh new set of clothes on him. SHEET GONE! \o/]

That's better. You're underwater, in a bubble. You cannot go home from here. It's perfectly safe, though weird things happen from time to time to nearly all of us. You should have a communication device on you, and from there you can access a network connecting everyone else's.

[ He would certainly fluster, if he had any actual shame at all. But there was just that bit of amazement, looking over his fresh clothes as the nice guy spoke and explained things. ]

Commu- [Huh... that sounded odd. He held up the strange thing he'd found in his pocket. ] This?

[ A network was still beyond his understanding. But it sounded like it could be something helpful. ]

Safe? From cats and twins and violent tea drinkers and... no dead bodies?

I'm not sure about the dead bodies just yet.

But if that's referring to your home, you're likely not going to experience it unless they come here. Still, it seems to be very random as far as who comes here and who does not.

THANK YOU!

[ Overcoming that fear, the mouse rushed in to take both of the stranger's hands into his own. ]

I'm so-I'm so relieved! This is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

Is it now.

Yes!

[ He looks up at the other, the mouse never was good at reading how people feel about the physical contact. ]

I'm Pierce, Pierce Villiers and very pleased to have met you.
