New Year, New Job

.. and its wierd.
On the upside, they've not had anyone in this role before, and I have a free hand.
On the downside, they've not had anyone in this role before, and I have a free hand.
So proving I'm useful and financially valuable, whilst balancing the enthusiastic but not overbearing role... in a company that has a policy of only spellchecking documents 'if relevant' and is almost totally occupied by middle-aged british blokes in suits (not that that is an issue, but I have difficulty spotting the difference between relatives facially, trying to identify different middleaged white blokes who all wear dark suits...)
With the added fun of needing to get up about 2hrs early, it's like being permeantly jetlagged.
However, it is a nice distraction away from health/family.

Fortunatly the very strict net and email rules of the new place meant that a family friend (waves at SamK) suggested a Kindle. This means that I have over 100 technical documents in my handbag, including Building Regs, with the additional files of the complete Raffles files and the lair of the white wyrm.
