Spring was only beginning to gain a foothold in Iowa before I left, so I was very happy to see green grass and flowers when I got to Kentucky. I had to run around and take photos of the back yard today. So, for those still without spring, here's some for you.
Some of the wonderfully yellow daffodils in mom's garden.
Although it isn't pretty, it's one of my favorite wildflowers (even though it is an invasive species),
Purple Deadnettle.
Also found its close relative,
Henbit Deadnettle.
And some periwinkle, hiding in the shadows of the fence, with a spider.
