I do think so, but it doesn't just do it on its own. You have to work at it and nuture it and make the active choice to make that love a priority in life. It's not the fairytale like in the movies.

No. I have pretty high standards.

Where is your biological mother right now?

I've gotten used to it, and it will probably be a hard transition for me to get back into the working world and be around people all day.

I believe it's necessary to change some things about yourself if you want, say, a marriage to work. But, you can't lose yourself in that process. Like me, I've changed a lot since Mike and I started dating 10 years ago. I used to be a major bitchy prude, and I've lightened up A LOT throughout the years, and especially in the last year. I don't live up to my own standards anymore, so how can I get mad at him now if he doesn't?

My mom and dad are coming over for her bday dinner. The house is a complete disaster, though, so I've got to get going on that in like 5 minutes.

Nothing. Everything happens for a reason. Even with feeling like a total loser for not being able to get hired anywhere, I've learned a lot of good lessons, and presuming we can make it through before divorce/suicide/homicide occurs, it ought to make our marriage a lot stronger (as in, we made it through that, we can make it through anything).

Mike getting ready for work, then I went back to sleep and my alarms got me up.

Yes, and he is annoyed by it, haha. He is going through fear of failure, which is what I went through when I started my job search, too. So, he wants to withdraw and not do anything and sit around a pout. I want to sit around and pout, too, but my fear of failure has long gone out the window because I've already done it for the first time in my life. I've failed.
