That was really how I wanted to spend my evening...
Driving back up to school, it started to sleet. Everybody slowed down, so obviously I did, too. I was coming up to an entrance ramp where some cars were trying to merge in so I moved into the left lane to let them. So, while I was in the left lane, and conveniently just when another car was parallel to me, that other car started to slide, clipped the front of my car and we both went spinning down the highway in opposite directions..Pretty much crossing paths. The guy went off into the grass embankment, I hit the guardrail and ended up half in the road and half on the shoulder, but facing oncoming traffic. Let's just say that I hope I never have anything remotely like that happen to me ever again. I pretty much watched all the oncoming traffic flying at me as I spun out of control, narrowly avoiding hitting me head-on every time my car made a 360. alksdjfal;sdjf. So blah blah blah, cops come, both of us are fine, but meanwhile I'm HYSTERICAL because I'm scared out of my mind, so I barely even made sense when I was talking to the cops. I got a ticket for "traveling at an excessive speed in poor weather conditions", and blah blah, my parents came up, my dad drove my car the rest of the way to Worcester because I refused to, anddd they dropped me back off here. I'm just glad it wasn't as bad as it could very easily have been. I'm fine, the other guy is fine, the only thing is that my car is now even more beat than it already was. Better the car than me or anyone else, though.
The eerie part is that my Dad COMPLETELY called that. He really didn't want me to leave to go back tonight because he knew it was going to start getting nasty out. He tried really hard to make me stay at home and drive back in the morning, but I didn't listen. So when I called the house right after my car stopped spinning, he picked up the phone and didn't even say hello - it was just "You got into an accident, didn't you..." Yikes. Lesson today: Listen to Daddy.
