I just can't write the funny.  If you want description or to set a scene, this I can do.  I would even say I do it well.  The problem?  Dialog.  I just can't *speak*.  Every english and writing teacher I've ever had has told me to write what I know, this includes conversations.  But I have the habit of listening.  Not so much with the talking.  ( Read more... )

There is something very soothing to me about being stuck on I90's floating bridge in the middle of a wind storm.  The bridge gently sways with the waters current.  I love it.  Seeing as I was stuck in traffic for an hour on the way to Stephie's it's a good thing.  Now I'm going to do a little writing.  Wait, I have to watch Chase play a little Star ( Read more... )
