The sand plants my feet in wet suction, it’s a warm embrace as my toes dig in.
All I can feel is the soft buffeting of the waves and the gentle drag as the water leaves the shore.
The sky is expansive, rain on horizon in a mix of blues and greys.
There’s no sound but the crashing waves and the soft splash as water hits my ankles.
The tide comes in sparking with sunshine to wash my sadness away in a salty baptism.
