Pure speculations

I read that 18 states are against the health-bill as unconstitutional. lt's been said that USA will vanish as a Federation. What makes me shake my head is that they call the bill unconstitutional. Regarding what's happened lately (Patriot Act) to the freedom of the individual, I am a tad baffled that this is what broke the camel's back ( Read more... )

You should totally check out this video:

At least that's what your initial comments led me to think of. I get people not liking the health care bill, but I don't get this 'unconstitutional junk'. I mean, it's not really any different from the government running public schools, building roads/bridges/whatever, the entire army, postal service, etc.

And yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to Bones tonight. I think it's getting back to the point where it's nearly as terrific as the first few seasons were. I've enjoyed it all, but the hyper-activeness with the rotating interns and such... well, it just hasn't been as goofy lately I guess. :) So I'm hopeful, and tonight's episode looks particularly entertaining.

Ha ha ha - so I am not the only one thinking about that kind of solution!

How on earth can health care cause this kind of reaction? How? o_O?

Yeah, the rotating was fun for a while, but the characters' need do develop to be really interesting. A rotating scheme is not allowing that. Maybe they figured this out?

but its socialism, oh noes!!!! next thing you know we'll be doing that heil hitler thing and we'll be building concentration camps for people who don't agree!!1

all that infrastructure stuff is from the last time we dabbled in socialism, you know with that fdr guy? btw, you know how the history books all say his programs and the wwii got us out of the depression? well, fdr's programs had nothing to do with that - they actually made the depression worse!!!

(sorry for the sarcasm, I just can't believe all of the bizarre leaps of logic and revisionist history glenn beck and his crew have been dabbling in.)

Oh, it's already starting? Ah, the whining from the ones telling others not to whine and stop watching will be epic! I rest assured that the end of this season will be all about poor widdle emo-Dean who's had such a hard life and is so beautifully pure and sacrificial though, and the next season as well. He's going to come out with sainthood stamped on his ass and wings.
Right now I just want JPad outta this crap.

Oh man, if SPN did that, I would sit back and laugh and laugh as fandom went nuts. Then I'd go write AU fic.

The Crapster lacks the cajones, unfortunately, but yeah, I'd laugh for a week. K & Co write fanfic on deman, never mind that the story makes no sense.

I know! I have a plot bunny wherein the Impala is really a CARNIVOROUS DEATH UNICORN that helps Sam and Dean save the world by killing Zachie and his angels most violently, and it would still makes more sense than a lot of stuff they've done in S5.

oh, one more thing I thought I should clear up. the healthcare bill is getting flak from both sides. of course by those on the right who are crying socialism. but also by those on the left who claim that the healthcare bill doesn't do enough. with legislation its usually a good sign if both sides hate the bill lol! usually means both groups gained some (at least enough to make them pass the bill) but also both groups lost some as well. so one isn't gaining too much at the expense of the other.

see, now this is why I've pulled back a bit from lj. I was just getting on for a minute to see if there was any noise on my flist about the new ep because I wasn't sure if there was one. my dvr is such a bitch sometimes, I never really know for sure. hope you don't mind the tl;dr, but you know how I am about politics. take care! ;p

its just that theres been this huge ideological push from the republican side for the past 30 yrs or so, for americans to be as independent as possible. they don't want big government and think people should be able to handle their own without assistance from the government ( ... )
