I need to update what's been going on with Jordan and myself.
Last Friday I went out to his house. We weren't planning it and I was really looking forward to a night in and hanging out with my mom. Well, I was walking around the malla nd Jordan asked if I would go out to his house and see him. I called and asked my mom, who said that if I could get home and gone before my dad came home that I could go... (my dad would have said no, we thought). So I rushed home and threw myself together, kind of, in like five minutes and left for his house. I was terrified of what my dad would say, but at this point I really just wanted to see Jordan. I got to his house and he was making dinner... it was so good!!! He made maple glazed chicken... the glaze and everything!!!
Funny story I have to insert here...
He asked me to make the salad, so he pointed out the lettuce and avocado. The avocado didn't look like an avocado to me and so I was really confused but I couldn't figure out what it was. I decided to cut the lettuce first and then get to the other thing. I thought about what it could be but didn't come up with anything. Finally, it was time to cut this so-called avocado. I picked it up and knew it wasn't an avocado... but I didn't know what it was, so maybe it really was an avocado..? I turned to him and was like, "Why doesn't this look like an avocado?" He looked at me and said, "Because it's a lime." Wow me. We burst out laughing and I don't think I'll ever live that one down. haha
Anyway....
Dinner was delicious and then we watched Lady in the Water. Decent movie... it has a lot of parallels with the Gospel so Jordan and I had fun with that. Then we just laid on his big, comfy leather couches until it was time for me to go... Always sad.
The next day he came to me. We went to the Getty in L.A. and had an awesome time. We actually spent as much time sitting on the lawn by the gardens as we did actually looking at art. Go us. He even fell asleep on the lawn. It was a gorgeous day and I was with him so life was good.
After the Getty we went and saw Wall*E. So cute!!!! We absolutely loved it.
Then we went to our favorite palce... la playa.
We talked a lot about what the next step in our relationship is... And we have come to the conclusion that we want to be together forever. Yea. It just feels good and right. AFter being at the beach for a couple hours he took me home and we said goodbye for what we thought would be over a week because I was going to be in Seattle for a few days.
And then!!... life got even better. Tuesday the First was my dad's birthday and Jordan was invited to come to his birthday dinner. It was awesome. We were all there... Jordan and myself, Katrina, Maurice and Riley, Trent and Nashley, Mom and Dad and Dede. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and I got teased a lot. Good thing I can laugh at myself or it would have been a really awkward night.
After dinner Jordan and I went to the beach... again. We were just talking about life and joking around about stuff and were having a great time. We were laying on a towel and I decided to put my feelings out there. I was terrified but I was tired of not saying it... So I said, "Baby...?" and he said "Mhmmm" and I said, "I love you." I saw a smile creep across his face and he turned to me and said, "I love you too, baby."
It was so cute!!!!! It felt so good to say it and to hear him say it too. Man, I really think I am going to be with this man forever. Life just feels good with him in it. It just fits and makes sense.
Very reluctantly, he took me home. I hate leaving him. Some day though, I won't have to say goodnight to him from a doorstep...
Now I'm in Seattle visiting my Grandma Donna and Uncle Mark for the weekend with my mom. We got here last night and haven't really done a whole lot which is just fine with me. Tonight we are going to the Starbucks Headquarters where my Uncle works to watch all the fireworks around Seattle.
Like I said, life is good. Hopefully it'll just keep getting better.
