so today I went to the street fair w/ some peeps... & for the FIRST TIME i went & got a psychic reading... why the FIRST time you ask.... cuz I've always believed they were full of shit or whatever.... & guess what... she was full of shit.
It was so stupid.
She says the same general shit to everyone, looks at your palm, "you will live a long life".... ok I've never believed that one... my dad died at 39 & my mom at 51... that right there doesn't give me great hope (which I don't really mind, I don't want to live tooooo long anyway, i'll pass). But they tell everyone the same goddamn thing. Then, "you seem shy, quiet....", um that's just OBVIOUS by me sitting there being shy/quiet (& skeptical)... which brought her to, "you seem to have a distrust for PEOPLE... you tend to not trust them... or shy away from them...", but like I said, that stuff was just OBVIOUS. I probably had the look of "you're full of shit" on my face.
Then she started pulling cards..... "a woman... are you close to your mother??", NOPE, TRY AGAIN. then she pulled another card with a guy & asked if I was close to my Father?!?! UM NO, TRY AGAIN. She didn't even know that my parents were gone or anything. Then from there they just start making shit up... "well it doesn't HAVE to be your mother... maybe an older woman in your life that you're close to...".... well there is NOBODY like that in my life! No men either. NICE TRY.
Another thing she said (which they also say to EVERYONE) is that there is money in my future. yeah yeah tell me another one. I don't believe that either. I've never had money & I don't see it coming in bundles into my future either.
Ugh it just pisses me off cuz they are so full of it.
The ONLY good thing she said is that I've had a lot of trouble in my past but things are OK now... ok that could be true.
And she said that she could tell I was smart, and I looked younger than my age (but duh, everyone says that).
And she said that Ryan & I have a very good relationship & he's a really good guy to me (which is true).
But that's IT.
The rest was just bullshit.
Ryan's mom thinks she did such a good job with HER reading... but I don't think so only becuz it was practically the same bullshit that she told me. We can't ALL "live a long life", and "have money in the future"... I'm just not buying it, sorry. Plus she said things to her that are just OBVIOUS as well, like "I can tell you're young at heart"... well that is OBVIOUS by LOOKING at her... the way she styles her hair up (like rockstar-ish, not like a 50 some year old woman) and wears younger looking clothes & jewelry... so it's OBVIOUS that she's "young at heart". Then she told her that she has an angel around her. Who doesn't?!?!!? Oh she told me the SAME THING too. But WHO DOESN'T have somebody close to them that has died & could be perceived as an "angel"?! We all do. Not buying it.
It's just a waste of money, I don't believe it. If anything I think they are just good bullshitters. They can LOOK at you & guess things, see your jewelry & guess that you have money, or that you DON'T. Or look at how you dress & say "I can TELL you're young at heart"... no, you can SEE that... so can EVERYONE else.

I'm not saying that they are ALL like that, but I believe the majority is full of shit. I believe that there are people out there with some true psychic talents... but not at all the places that offer psychic readings & stuff... sorry, i'm not havin it. I can't believe they can just have booths LINED UP & all of these "readers" just happen to all have psychic abilities, like it's so common ?!
I think that I even have a bit of a psychic kick once & awhile, but I'm not going to claim it & start doing bullshit readings for people that are just general & untrue. I don't see why so many people buy into it. I didn't.
I just had to rant about it.....
