Chapter 4 (final chapter): 'Raindrops.... on my my heart, mind, body and soul'

-"Jaejoong." His sense coming back to him all at once, he realizes he is being called for. "Jaejoong." He heard it again. He looked around, trying to find his way, but was blinded by darkness. It was as if he was in the middle of nowhere, trapped in the still of time; between two worlds.
-"Yunho??" Jaejoong questioned the voice. It was Yunho's alright, but the voice contained more life. Eager to see the owner of the voice, Jaejoong struggle to find his way.

-"Follow my voice Jaejoong." He heard and he followed. Coming closer to a white light, Jaejoong ran towards it.

-"Where am I?" Jaejoong was now surrounded by pure light. White all around him. He felt as if he was about to loose his sanity. He couldn't figure out what has been going on ever since he bumped into Yunho's figure outside of the cafe.

-"Jaejoong?" from a small distance, Jaejoong could see that familiar figure. Not knowing what was taking control, he felt himself being pulled towards the figure. "Jaejoong...." He saw Yunho lift his head up to smile at him. A smile Jaejoong hasn't seen in such long time. Reaching out to him, Jaejoong now realized he was inside a living room. Looking around, he noticed Yunho, surrounded by red candles, formed in a circle. Beneathe Yunho's feet was some type of star symbol; a seven point star symbol. A book was held in his hands.

-"Yunho....what is going on....??" Jaejoong tried to walk up to Yunho, but couldn't. Yunho placed the book down, walking to where Jaejoong was now standing. Lifting his hand, Yunho brought it to Jaejoong's face, only to have it go through Jaejoong's cheek. "Yu-Yunho!!" Jaejoong was now trembling. "Why can't you touch me?!" Jaejoong's lips were quivering, as Yunho took a few steps back.

-"Jaejoong..." Yunho took a deep breath before saying words that would have Jaejoong in total shock and disbelief. "You're dead." Jaejoong dropped himself onto the ground. He shook his head profusingly.

-"No-no-no....I can't be dead!! I was alive a few hours ago!! Just a few hours ago, I was in bed!! A few hours ago, I was at Changmin's apartment!! A few hours ago I was....I.....I saw you...." Jaejoong began to release his tears. "What are you doing to me? Why are you doing this? Why did you come back for me?? Why did you come back into my life?!" Jaejoong tried once more to come towards Yunho, only to fail once more.

-"Jaejoong, you can't touch me. What you saw back there, none of it was real. The replica of myself, was a spell I used to bring you back to me. I missed you." Yunho spoke softly, his eyes full of being sincere.

-"What do you mean it's not real?" Jaejoong asked quietly, his tears ceasing.

-"Don't you remember what happened?" Yunho looked at Jaejoong, receiving a quick shake of the head from him. "Jaejoong....you committed suicide. You jumped off a bridge and drowned. That is why I sent that replica of myself to get you; to take through those events so you could remember. You were lost Jaejoong, and I wanted to guide you back." Yunho explained. Jaejoong's breath was caught in his throat, he looked back to when those scenes of himself at the funeral home; at the bridge. The person in the coffin, was him.

-"Bu-but why...." Jaejoong still couldn't comprehend.

-"Check your pocket." Yunho told Jaejoong. Jaejoong reached into his pocket, forgetting that he had the box in there. "That was the ring I was going to propose to you with. That day you broke up with me. I wondered why you did such a thing, but it was obvious all along. I knew you were seeing Yoochun at that time."

-"What are you talking about? I met Yoochun after we had broken up! I met him outside in the rain!! Ever since we broke up, it has been raining nonstop!" Jaejoong yelled; trying his best to hit the wall behind him, but to now prevail.

-"No Jaejoong. That is what you wanted to believe. That is a world you created, yourself, so you wouldn't have to face the truth. We met eachother in the rain. Don't you remember? We met in front of the cafe." Yunho asked, his voice not changing in tone. Jaejoong's facial expression grew more in surprise; more like a smack of realization coming across him. He was in denial all this time. All the memories of the sin he committed against his loved one. He was having another affair. With Yoochun. He made himself believe that Yoochun was the one for him. The night before Yunho had asked Jaejoong to meet him in front of the cafe, he spent the night with Yoochun. Yoochun, telling Jaejoong if he really knew who he wanted to be with, he would choose tomorrow when he saw Yunho. And when tomorrow came, Jaejoong had made his choice to go with Yoochun, not knowing that the decision would come to haunt him later.

A few weeks after his choice, he just couldn't see himself completely happy with Yoochun. His thoughts would always go out to Yunho and the hurt expression he left when he told Yunho that it was over. Soon he found himself wishing he hadn't done what he did. He began to conversate less. He hardly went out. Changmin and Junsu would come by to see if he was alright. But, he wasn't. Yoochun became worried and suggested that Jaejoong see a doctor, but he refused. All he wanted to see was Yunho, but after that day, Yunho was nowhere to be found.

-"The day after you had broken up with me, I went to stay with my sister. I just couldn't stay in the same area as you, knowing that I was bound to bump into at any given moment." Yunho spoke. "But, that day when I received that heart wrenching call, I regreted ever leaving." Yunho drooped his head down. "Changmin had contacted me, informing me that you body was found." Jaejoong could tell that Yunho was now crying; his shoulders shaking violently.

-"I'm sorry..." Jaejoong whispered. Yunho brought his head up and their eyes met once again.

-"Sorry Jaejoong? This isn't about being sorry!! How could you have been so selfish!!" Yunho's sudden outburst caused Jaejoong to step back in fright. "How Jaejoong, how?" Yunho's tone becoming lower, once he had realized he startled the other man before him. "You know...." Yunho walked over to the window. "It still hasn't stopped raining." Jaejoong made his way over, to join Yunho. "Don't you know how much the sky has been crying for you; How much I've been crying for you?" Not noticing, his hands interlocked with Jaejoong's.

-"Yun.....my hand..." Jaejoong lifted their hands up to show Yunho that he could touch him. Yunho leaned over to place a gentle kiss on Jaejoong's hand.

-"I guess out love is still there, huh?" Yunho chuckled. Jaejoong just smiled, nodding silently. "The rain....brought us together again, don't you think?"

-"That is why you came to me in the form of water..." Jaejoong told Yunho. "The rain cleared our conscious of any doubts we had about our love for each other. But, rain was a bit to late to save me..." Jaejoong gave a faint laugh. Yunho just turned to stare at him with seriousness.

-"But, it saved our love. You're here with me now..." Yunho looked at their hands to see Jaejoong's fading from his view." It's wearing off..." Yunho whispered.

-"Yunho....what happening?" Jaejoong began to panick. Yunho just turned away, not wanting to see his love disappear.

-"It's time for you to leave Jaejoong....you're not lost anymore. You've been found and now you can take your place in the spirit world." Yunho explained.

-"But, I don't want to Yunho!! Find another spell to make me stay with you!! I want to stay with you Yunho!! I'm sorry!!" Jaejoong pleaded, as his figure could hardly be seen.

-"What choice do you have Jaejoong? There is no spell that can keep you bound to earth. It is out of my hands. This is not about being sorry. You've come into terms with what you have done. There was no need to say sorry because I have already forgiven you. Before you go..." Yunho turned around, waving his left hand. "Don't forget to put on your ring." Jaejoong took the ring out of the box, placing it on his left ring finger, before he completely vanished.

-"I love you Jaejoong..." Yunho sighed. "You might not be here anymore, but you love is still here with me." He looked back out of the window to see the clouds of gray fading, allowing the sun to shine after long three months of rain. He smiled up to the sky. "If you're happy, I'm happy." He spoke towards the sky.

-"Yunho....." Yunho found himself infront of the cafe. He felt a cold chill go through him. He looked up to have droplets of rain land on his face. "Yunho....you'll get wet...." He turned around to see Jaejoong standing before him, with no sign of emotion in his face. Slowly raising his arm, Jaejoong placed an umbrella over Yunho's head. "I'm your invisible shield, Yunho. Granted to you from the dark sky...."

Yunho lifted the umbrella, to find that Jaejoong was gone. After 10 minutes of standing in that same spot, Yunho began to walk away, not caring for where he was walking to. The rain began to pour harder onto his body, blocking the path before. Not considering to slow down, Yunho increased his pace, pushing himself through the heavy rain.

-"Yunho....." He heard his name again. He turned around, but no one was there. Has he turned himself back around, there stood Jaejoong. He didn't even get to blink his eye; Jaejoong advanced towards him at great speed, attacking him onto the ground. Yunho stared at Jaejoong as Jaejoong's body began to liquify itself, slowly being absorbed into the ground. "Let me cleanse your lost love Yunho...." Jaejoong grabbed onto Yunho's Legs, bringing him down with him. "Drown in pain...."

**

-"NO!!" Yunho woke up from the dream. He placed his hand over his forehead to wipe the sweat. "It was just a dream..." Yunho laughed to himself as he placed his hand onto the left side of his bed. "What is this...." Yunho felt something wet under his hand. He turned to see the whole left side of his bed, wet. He quickly got out of his bed, to see aan outline of a body imprinted next to where he was sleeping. Running a hand through his hair, he walked towards the window to find that it was now raining. "This is the first rain in months...what is going on??" Yunho stared at his relflection in the window. He noticed something different. There, behind him, stood a familiar figure. "Jae...."

-"Yunho...." He heard the voice whisper in his ear. "I did have a choice...and I choose to be a lost soul...." Yunho tried to turn around to face Jaejoong, but Jaejoong's grip on him prevented him to do so. "No Yunho, stay like this... enjoy the view outside the window...." Jaejoong's touch was wet against Yunho's skin, causing him to shiver. "I chose to be a lost soul, because if it meant finding my way back to you...then I wouldn't mind being lost for eternity..." Jaejoong's eerie voice caused Yunho's heart beat to increase. "I'm always here Yunho..." Yunho felt a wet kiss planted on his cheek. He then felt the grip Jaejoong had on him, loosen. Thinking this as a good opportunity to turn around, Yunho did exactly that. But, what he saw, wasn't what he expected to see. He expected to see a faint image of his dear Jaejoong. Instead, all he saw was a watery figure, slightly smiling at him.

-"Jaejoong..." Yunho reached an arm out to him. Jaejoong turned away from him, walking towards the bed.

-"Yunho...come to bed...it's late." Jaejoong let himself fall onto the bed, nothing, but water splashing everywhere. Yunho ran over to see Jaejoong was gone. All was left was a puddle of water.

-"I need a splash of cold water..." Yunho mumbled to himself, walking to the bathroom. Once there, he turned the water from the faucet on, letting the cold water run through his fingers. "I'm seeing things..." He looked into the mirror and saw dark bags under his eyes. He hasn't gotten a good night's sleep since his encounterment with Jaejoong. Taking the water in his hands, he splashed it onto his face. Placing his hands under the running water once more, he felt something grab him. Looking down, he spotted a hand holding on to his wrist.

-"Yunho..." Yunho suddenly saw a face inside the sink. "Let all of your rainy days be full of happiness." The face winked before flowing down into the drain.

-"I'm happy as long has I have you." Yunho smiled to himself as he went back into his room, laying down on the left side of his bed. "My heart is now shield by rain...." He whispered before drifting back to sleep as the rain continued to fall.
