Rant 1.

If you are helping to put on a bridal shower (and are a bridesmaid), please dress appropriately.

CLASSY: dress pants, skirts, nice shirts, dresses, and the like. dressy shoes.
TRASHY: JEANS! especially those with salt stains on the bottom.  black jeans also don't qualify as "dress-up". jean jackets. tennis shoes. polos with screen printed ( Read more... )

I feel your pain! I seriously regretted being my friend's bridesmaid. It was a lot of work putting everything together, and doing all the small tasks for her bridal shower. Now she wants us to spend all this money for her bachelorette party in Chicago, buying her a fifty dollar Cubs' ticket and her drinks here. I can't afford all this, and her other bridesmaids are complete idiots about it because their parents still give them money :(

But best of luck with finding a job and with your diet. Sounds like you have a lot of huge changes going on with school and everything too, you go girl! <3

Thankfully, we pulled off her bridal shower. Now, it's just waiting until the wedding is over with, which is something I can't wait for. It was so frustrating because the other two girls (the other three bridesmaids are in minnesota) didn't take the initiative to do ANYTHING. I'm not that type of person, so that drove me around the bend...

I can't wait for this to be over. I've never spent so much money on random stuff that I'll never wear again. The only good thing about this is if I ever do decide to get married, I'm having black bridesmaid dresses, then they can be worn more than once.

It sounds like your having fun with your bridesmaid situation as well. Lucky us!

Thank you on the other stuff. It's been...interesting and challenging to say the very least.

p.s. see my post above this one...it's...shocking.
