Индия. Химачал-Прадеш. Манали. Дели. 31.05.09 - 06.06.09
По приезду в Манали я сразу же с ходу влюбился в величиственные пики Гималаев... Красота неописуемая словами...
Сначала я остановился на день в Васшиште у Николаса, приятеля из Дели, который на этих выходных как раз был в Манали, затем нашел отельчик на горе с просто потрясным видом на окружающее великолепие. Компанию по исследованию окрестностей ( Read more... ) -
Индия. Химачал-Прадеш. Дарамсала, МакЛеод Ганж. 15.05.09 - 30.05.09
15 мая к вечеру мы с Филиппом прибыли наконец-то в МакЛеод Ганж, что находится несколькими километрами выше собственно Дарамсалы. В Lonely Planet Филлипа нашел бюджетный guest house Tibetan Ashoka, 350 рупий double, находится за Ashoka Rest в глубине.

Early morning about 5-30 am on May 12th I came to Amritsar. Helpers try to put me in a hotel, so I ask to put me somewhere close to Golden Temple. But they cheated me and put into Paris Hotel (300 INR per night), which is about 1,5 km from Golden Temple, somewhere between bus and railway stations. I reached Jammu at around 8-30 pm, taxi took us to the bus station, so I needed to find a hotel or guest house… I knew some hotel names, but quick Indians already helped me to find a hotel and put in riksha. So I came to Volga Hotel for 30 INR, and rent there a room for 300 INR, pretty small and simple, but clean and without smells. Later I looked ( Read more... ) -

Flight to Srinagar came surprisingly in time (by the way the cost of Mumbai-Srinagar flight was 6000 INR), but I didn’t believe my ears when they said that outside temperature was 10C and it was raining. India. Pune again. 17.04.09 - 05.05.09
So on April 17 I came to Pune by night sleeper bus which cost me 400 INR. I decided to stay in the same place where Geet used to stay. Riksha driver charge an exorbitant price around 200 INR to get Koregaon Park area. But finally I found the place and get the same room for 250 per night.

After Sri Lanka I decided to go to Bombay cuz there were some friends who invited me to come. So I spent with them about ten days just chilling and doing nothing special.

In Colombo these time was living my friend from US, Evan, who did a research about Sinhalese-Tamil confrontation. So the night from 17th to 18th I decided to stay at his place and then take the morning train to Hatton, closest station to Adam’s peak. My flight back to India was at 17-30 on March 19. In the morning I was in Colombo to get my new visa from Indian high commission. Since I came there I had to wait to come in for 20 minutes with some Sri Lankan and 2 exalted US women who were overprotecting the entrance from anyone who tried to come into before them.
