So, today I get up thinking that today is significant because my favorite lotion is on sale at Bath and Body works for three dollars and I get off work at six so I can actually go buy some.
However, as
karasaurusrex pointed out, I was very, very wrong. In Stanfordland, it is a significant holiday: our boy is 31. To celebrate, he should get a job (film, theatre, tv, commercial, print ad for hemorrhoid cream; IDC). Why? Because we're bored, and the Holy Money myspace people (very politely) told me that nothing was quite happening yet and to "stay tuned" to the myspace for updates.
And also because if he does so, he can buy himself something pretty.. Because what else is there to do on a birthday when you have at least a bit of disposable income than to buy yourself something pretty? Or alcoholic.. Whatever. The point is holiday celebrate holiday celebration come together in every nation..
Or, to put it succinctly:
Dear Stanford,
Happy birthday.
Dear Everyone Else,
Make a fuss!
XO
