So, after something like $500 spent so far the masters project is going EXCELLENT!
Sitting in my lab as I type (and drink) is a robotic arm (named Lenny) that I can control with a cell phone and is awaiting the arrival of a new web cam sometime tommorow and soon after another servo and a couple of joints to make it extra exciting.
Part 1 of masters project phase 2.
FINISHED! (pretty much)
The second $250 I spent in the past week, my recent acquirement of MaxMSP (a graphical programing language that specializes in sound processing). With that I have finally finished the bulk of my first real Max program (and the second part of my masters project), which is a program that will allow callers using my masters project to leave audio samples to be used in musical performances. Right now you can leave up to six 10 second samples. In the next week I'm going to work with Travis to add in some nifty filters and stuff and then I'll be (mostly) done with that part of my project too. Which only leaves Travis to write a kick ass composition to use the max patch. Then I'm done!
And to top it all off everyone seems to be really excited about my projects. Today I heard of two different people who were interested in the music composition stuff that I'm doing with travis, not to mention that the next dorkbot meeting might feature Dave, Travis and I doing Sequencer404. All I need is this job at AntFarm to come through and things are gonna be great in the next year. Woo!
