My asst. manager left as soon as I got here this morning, the other person supposed to work the desk with me this morning is AWOL, so I'm flying solo today, woo-hoo.
It's fun seeing all the crap people leave behind in the lab when I open it up in the morning. Today I found another 3.25 inch disc labeled "Thesis" that someone had left in the drive. I must have tossed over a dozen thesises(thesi?) into the lost and found box since I started this job. I don't know what's worse, the fact that these people are storing their life's work (sometimes exclusivly) on technology I was using when I was seven, or the fact that they just leave it in the lab.
Ceese got me a new fox! My sister named him Orlando, after Vittorio Orlando, whom she was studying at the time. My sister's naming stuffed animals after one of the most aggressive politicians of the first world war makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Thanks for the present ceese! Now I have to come up with some cool trinket for you...
