Finally---a busy week!

Today I spent the day drawing the remaining pictures for Mistletoe (the children's book illustration project). It has taken me a little over a year for 25 pictures. I managed my time okay. I have been applying to every job opening I can find in my field the past couple of weeks. I have applied to 5 different districts with actual postings across my state. I'm going to a Career Fair just for Education on Saturday (and totally bypassing my radio show in the process--note the dedication!). I have actual work experience for the past 2 ( Read more... )

That's right! I got my first art education job. I am going to be a long-term sub at an Elementary Magnet School. It's a M-W position until around January when the main teacher comes back from maternity leave. Yes yes I know it's not the dream job or the job you stick with for years, but I did it.
