GLEE!
Last night I went to an animal shelter near me. I saw a beautiful Australian Shepherd mix on Petfinder and I just had to meet him. Turns out he was gorgeous, but also huge and LOUD. Not the best suit for me. I met 5 or 6 other dogs, and really didn't find one that suited me. The staff member that was helping me said she had one more that she thought would be a good fit for me. He was. I put in my adoption application last night and it was approved this afternoon!
Here is my new soon-to-be canine companion, Ike:
He is a 1.5 year old Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix. He has the most pleasant disposition. He is very calm, barks when appropriate and gets a long well with other dogs. The staff said that he refuses to mess in his crate, so he was most likely house/crate trained! I am so excited to get him! I just hope no one snatches him up before I can get back on Saturday!
