(no subject)
Despite sleeping from 10pm until 9am this morning I was still tired this morning. There were a couple of interruptions from Amélie, but not huge ones. I went to have a shower around 10am, but lay on the bed and fell asleep again.
Anyway, I did eventually wake up. We got in touch with Ed & Ana and agreed to go and visit Polesden Lacey - Ed, Ana and Lu have all been there before, but not me. We packed a picnic, including leftover BBQ from yesterday, and headed off.
We arrived there around 1pm, and met up with Ed, Ana and Tom to have the picnic. That was great fun, followed by a walk around the ground, and then a walk around the house. By that time it was closing, so we parted company and headed home.
We stopped at the local shops to grab some essentials on the way home, and Lu talked me into getting Chinese (so much for the diet plans). Now we're back home, the Chinese has been eaten, Lu has talked to her parents, bathed Amélie, and is currently putting her to bed. Amélie walked a couple of steps while Lu was talking to her parents; I was holding onto her, and she walked from me to her large toy train, completely out the blue. We couldn't really get a repeat though.
Once I've finished here I'm going to tidy up.
