(no subject)
So I got some exercise today walking to Fleet town centre and back, with Lu and Amélie (in the pram). It's the first time I've ever done it. We were in the town for a couple of hours, with Lu spending an age in Boots, and then we bought Amélie's first properly fitted shoes (well, they're still "cruising" shoes, as she isn't walking properly yet). We had lunch at a new so-so Italian café. I thought I'd be clever, and ordered some "penne pomodoro" (penne with tomato sauce) for Amélie. Of course she doesn't like tomato sauce (or tomatoes full stop), so refused to eat it. If it had been a cheese sauce all would have been OK.
The walk to and from added up to something like 5km, with too much shopping to carry on the way back.
Lu had pinged Ed & Ana this morning to see what they were up to this weekend, and they were planning to have a BBQ this afternoon because of the great weather. So once home we headed over there. We spent most of the afternoon in the garden, with Amélie and Tom playing in the ball pool. That was followed by the BBQ, and before long Amélie was getting cranky and we had to head home again.
Now we're home, tired, and happy.
