Thoughts on the last weeks
This week and the week before that have been pretty exciting times for me. Among other things, I've bought my first fursuit and gone to work on reviving this journal, as you may have noticed.
I've also mustered the courage to contact a few people I really look up to within the fandom. We'll see how that goes... I just figured that another day waited is in the end just another opportunity lost. :) It really is time for me to become part of this fandom and community thing!
These are great developments overall, but there is also a problem: I haven't done this in a sustainable way. What's happened is that I've typically come home quite late from work, only to stay up to 3 AM or the like blogging and generally fiddling around. Inevitably, I've crashed hard at work the day after and not gotten much done. This is very undesirable, especially since I'm working on my first conference publication, with deadline mid-March; time is of the essence right now!
In an effort to make my furry efforts mesh better with the rest of my life, and to allow for a more regular blogging habit, I have decided to make an experiment: From now on I will try to make Saturdays my official "be furry and blog day." I may not be as active around here on other days. We'll see how this works out in the weeks to come, I guess.
