Mamoru glared bleakly at the clock. If he could just switch off. Another ten minutes ground by, glacial and slow; he pressed the intercom button.
"Yes?" Nagi said wearily.
"I can't sleep," Mamoru said. There was silence, then,
"Yes."
The connecting door opened; Nagi came in, and climbed into bed. Mamoru shut his eyes, resting a hand on his messy hair. It didn't take long. It never did when Nagi wanted to get back to his own bed. No point wishing for anything real, Mamoru thought, as Nagi wiped his mouth, silent and tired.
He closed his eyes and slept.
