~*~The Story Of Us: Part One (Envy Is A Form Of Praise)~*~
Well, Xander reasoned, it’s not like he was totally off base with his comments earlier. Spike was a vampire who was turned at the peak of human life. His body didn’t age or get fatter - so he still was compact. He was strong with good muscle tone and with that black coat, he could be mistaken for mysterious. His hair color may have changed a bit - Xander was fairly certain that particular shade of blonde wasn’t natural - but he was pretty much the same guy. Only not.
Xander sighed and continued his journey to Spike’s mausoleum. As he came up on it, he noticed the door open a crack. He peeked in. Buffy - the real one, as the bot was still with Willow at the Magic Box - was giving Spike a kiss. A gentle one, as the vampire was completely battered. Xander covered his own mouth to keep his gasp from being heard, then slunk off into the cemetery.
Spike was the same guy, but somehow Xander believed that the vampire part had a better chance with the ladies. Or maybe just a stronger liking for them…
Well, two could play at that game.
