When you were Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, fights were bound to happen. Stupid little fights that, once you were dating, didn’t really mean anything.

Harry knew this. It was such a well-known fact that he was surprised no one had added it to Hogwarts, A History.

But things changed when the fight was over something like this.

“Are you trying to tell me that this is all because you didn’t like the way Blaise looked at me?”

Draco sneered. “Oh, it’s Blaise now? Moving up from last names to first? How bloody special for the both of you.”

Harry just stared at him. “Draco, what is wrong with you? Do you know how ridiculous this is?”

Draco looked out the window. He knew he should just drop this. He knew that Harry wanted to be with him and no one else. But he couldn’t just let it go because he wondered exactly how long Blaise had had feelings for Harry.

And he wondered why he hadn’t seen the way he looked at him until today.

He also wondered why he couldn’t seem to shut his damn mouth. But it was eating away at him that, for once in his life, he might not be able to keep something, someone, simply because he wanted to. He couldn’t shake this feeling that any day now, Harry was going to realize that he was with Draco Malfoy, of all people, and walk away.

It didn’t matter that he told himself it would never happen, that Harry would never do that. The feeling was still there and it’d only seemed to intensify since the other day.

He shook his head. “All I know is that I hate the look he gets on his face when he looks at you.”

Harry shook his head. “I don’t see it, Draco. And even if I did, even if he does have feelings for me, it wouldn’t matter. Blaise will never be anything but a friend. One that I never would have made if it weren’t for you. It’s you that I want.” He smiled sadly. “If you can’t see that, I’m sorry for you.”

Draco didn’t respond as Harry turned and walked out. He wasn’t sure he knew how to.
