When the trio got home, they fell onto the couch and turned the T.V. on. Soon the sounds of Friends filled the apartment.
But Xander focused on the more subtle sounds. The tinkle of Willow's laughter as opposed to the out right bark that was Spike.
It was sounds like that, Xander noted, that told him this would work. Sounds that showed how comfortable they were with each other. That they were open about themselves to each other. That, unlike with his parents, love can actually exist in a relationship.
Xander cuddled closer to Willow and almost laughed when Spike immediately reached for the redhead. Willow just patted their arms.
"Aww you know I love both of my boys."
"Love you too Wills. You too Fangless."
"Turn into a pounce why don't you?" Spike smirked. "Love you too whelp."
