Tsuzuki likes kissing very much, to Hisoka's surprise. For someone with such terrible self-destructive tendencies, Tsuzuki expresses affection very, very easily.
Hisoka never meant to fall in love with him.
They're not dating, really, so much as spending the same amount of time with each other, this time with additional touching involved. Even as an empath, Hisoka is now more aware of when Tsuzuki's hand brushes against his when they reach for the same bowl; of when he trails his fingertips across his knuckles and kisses him on the cheek.
It's strange, this longing: he finds himself glancing at Tsuzuki from the corner of his eye, blushing and looking away when Tsuzuki looks up and grins at him. For the first time in his life, Hisoka is craving affection and touch - he finds himself automatically reaching for Tsuzuki, or leaning into Tsuzuki when he wraps an arm around his shoulders and draws him close.
When they kiss and hold each other, Hisoka feels like he is dying, losing control, losing himself.
It's not perfect, this relationship: Hisoka still wakes up from Tsuzuki's nightmares and Tsuzuki, more than once, has woken up to Hisoka screaming as the curse burns on his skin. They are both more than a little scarred and broken, but, in the end, there is no one better suited to the other than themselves. No one, in the end, will be able to fix the other (as much as he's able) than the other, and they've both accepted that, even if they still haven't accepted themselves.
But, Hisoka thinks, when he wakes up in Tsuzuki's arms, it's a start.
