Pent-Up Aggression
Sometimes, Tsuzuki thinks Hisoka acts more like his age than he thinks.
Hisoka is an old man in a young body, his life in his eyes and curse for all to see. He is too neat - everything has its own place - and sometimes, he relies too much on logic, but Tsuzuki has accepted that this is who Hisoka is.
One morning, however, this changes.
Tsuzuki walks in and notices that Hisoka is grumpier than usual; he snaps ar Tsuzuki's cheeful greeting. When Tsuzuki's hand brushes Hisoka's while reaching for a pencil, Hisoka snatches his hand away like he has been burned, his face flooding with colour. He storms off as Tsuzuki stares after him, Yuma and Saya giggling nearby. When Tsuzuki turns to them for an explanation, they simply shake their heads and giggle harder.
Tsuzuki assumes that Hisoka has had nightmares, or perhaps his frustration at their having a lapse in work is beginning to become unbearable. When Hisoka continues to dodge every touch, Tsuzuki says nothing - Hisoka's tolerance for physical touch goes up and down every day.
It doesn't make sense until they are walking home, silence between them. Hisoka's hands are stuffed in his pockets and he's determinedly looking anywhere but at Tsuzuki, who's struggling to hide his confusion.
They reach Hisoka's house and both stand awkwardly, staring at each other. Tsuzuki opens his mouth to speak, when Hisoka suddenly flings himself at him.
The kiss is wet and clumsy and Tsuzuki staggers back, his arms tightening around Hisoka. They finally break apart, Tsuzuki panting as they gaze at each other.
"How do you do this to me?" Hisoka asks in a broken voice.
Tsuzuki grins, laughs, and kisses him again.
